CITIZEN-CENTRIC ADMINISTRATION :
NOTICE FOR ALL CITIZENS

 
It is notified for the general citizenry ( users directly or indirectly involved with the port or partaking of the port's operations) , that in pursuance of the directives contained in the 12th Report of the ARC, a CORE COMMITTEE has been formed to go into the following facets concerning citizen-centric administration at the KOLKATA DOCK SYSTEM .
 
a) Simplification of internal procedure  Para 10.1.9 of the Report.
b) Monitoring and evaluation  Para 10.4.4 of the Report
c) Consumer Protection  Para 8.3.3 of the Report.
 
To assist the exercise of identifying areas where such administration is required to be improved , all citizens as defined above may submit to the Committee their observations and suggestions if any in the prescribed format downloadable from KoPT's website (kolkataporttrust.gov.in) by clicking the following Link. There are no fees or charges payable by the citizen and feedback may be submitted in English or Hindi.


 Questionnaire relating to simplification of port procedure 


The feedback is required to be submitted to Shri Gautam Chakraborti, Supdt. General and Convener of the Committee within the 31st of March, 2010 at Subhash Bhavan ( 3 Floor) , 40 Circular Garden Reach Road , Kolkata 700043 or by Fax at 03324392647 or by email at trafficgen@gmail.com or gch@kopt.in.
Feedback from citizens is expected to be concise and to focus specifically on areas pertaining to the Kolkata Dock System. The primary concern of the committee will be areas where the port has a unilateral role in providing services. Citizens may submit feedback in respect of services also involving other agencies or public bodies and such suggestions shall be forwarded to the concerned authority/authorities.
